on March 19th of 2009, All Pakistan Newspapers Society and Urdu Newspapers has strike to the mass by reducing page column.
According to their letter (as of Jang Group of Newspapers): In order to bring newspapers in line with international format, the dailies Jang, Awaz, Awam, Waqt and Inqilab are changing the size of their page w.e.f. April 01, 2009 as per specifications detailed in their letter and advertisements appeared from time to time in respective newspapers.
