US threat to Pk nukes.

Sphere: Related Content

US Vice President Biden has finally made it clear that Pakistan's nuclear weapons should be the prime focus of US policy in this region. In an interview to MSNBC, on Tuesday, he declared, "our focus should be Pakistan and Al Qaeda in Pakistan and Pakistan's nuclear weapons." Now that the US leadership itself has admitted targeting our nuclear assets, surely it is time to do a serious rethink about our cooperation with the US, especially in military/security terms? After all, if the end game for the US in this region is to take out our nuclear capability, how can any Pakistani state organisation be party to this agenda? If some blinkered persons in the Establishment and government still fail to understand the anti-Pakistan US agenda, what do they think of Mullen's statement in Islamabad that the Indo-US nuclear strategy is for this entire region? This is the first time we are hearing of a joint "Indo-US" nuclear strategy. What exactly is it? The Indian nuclear doctrine, which sees a first strike against "any WMD threat" from "anywhere", encompasses a highly aggressive nuclear war-fighting strategy. Is this now going to be a joint Indo-US strategy for this region and beyond? If so, then this directly threatens Pakistan. It is plausible that the US subscribes to the Indian designs in this region, given how the two sides are cooperating on missile defence also - which translated into simple strategic language means rationalisation of nuclear war-fighting rather than mere deterrence. Also, if the US has now adopted a joint nuclear doctrine with India, then it is violating its international law obligations under the Non Proliferation Treaty, which forbids it to have any form of nuclear cooperation with a non-signatory to this Treaty - let alone military cooperation. Given the joint nuclear agenda of India and the US, it is now clearer why the US, both at the official and media levels, has failed to move on India's proliferation activities which have been well-documented by many sources including US think tanks.

Ok, What about the threat of US nukes if CIA like agency sell it for its nude purposes!!!

A living judgement by the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The Supreme Court decision to declare the NRO as null and void was an extraordinary judgement with in-built implementation provisions, especially with the ongoing judicial supervision of the cases revived again as a result of this unanimous judgement. The Supreme Court in effect gave a vote of no-confidence to the government and NAB legal teams, as well as highlighting the misuse of authority by former Attorney General Malik Qayoom. The Supreme Court decision has far reaching consequences with its order to restart the Swiss cases and seek the return of the nation’s looted wealth.
For the people of Pakistan this is a most remarkable salvation of justice and rule of law and ushers a new dawn of an independent and responsive higher judiciary. It is a sad reflection on the moral bankruptcy of the Presidency that it is sheltering behind the constitutional provision of immunity for the President. However, while the immunity provision is clear in case of criminal cases, it is not at all clear whether it also applies to civil cases. But the issue is not one of constitutional protection, The issue is how the state of Pakistan can be represented with national dignity by a person who has now lost all moral grounds to remain in the Presidency. It is an issue of credibility and moral stature which must define the office of the President. President Zardari, in the interest of the nation and the President’s office should voluntarily resign.
As for the ministers and other office holders who now stand accused once again on varied charges of corruption, murder and so on, their removal is a necessity. The Prime Minister needs to move immediately to remove all such persons from the Cabinet. At the end of the day how can any of the NRO accused carry on their functions effectively on behalf of the state and government, at home and abroad? They have lost all credibility.

No concept of indemnity in Constitution

PML (N) Senator Zafar Ali Shah said on Wednesday that concept of indemnity was a distorted concept and it was the right of public to get information about the assets of Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif.
He said whole nation greatly respects Armed Forces and judiciary but all are answerable. He said it is high time and every institution should work in its limits.
He termed December 16 as a Black Day in the history of the country. “It is awful that despite passing 39 years, reasons of disintegration of the country can’t be fixed. Unfortunately Hamudur Rehman Commission Report could not be published.” He said it is now the responsibility of media to dig out hidden truths regarding disintegration of the country.
Addressing a conference of Sustainable Policy Development Institute, Zafar Shah said that public hearing of critical cases was beauty of the country’s judicial system. There is no concept of indemnity in the Constitution, he said and added, “However, I am active activist of PML (N) but in my view, my leader (Nawaz Sharif) is also answerable to the public and judiciary as well.”
He said that unprecedented interventions of the generals into the democratic set up of the country ruined the image of the Armed Forces to a great extent. He claimed that he had personally told the generals how much they were wrong whenever they decided to intervene.

Take Action

Before there was Fast Food Nation, there was Mad Cow USA. Those who read this book when it first appeared in 1997 were shocked but not surprised on December 23, 2003, when the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture announced that mad cow disease had been found in America.

Six years earlier, Stauber and Rampton warned in Mad Cow USA that government and industry in the US had failed to take the necessary steps to prevent this bizarre and deadly dementia disease from spreading through contaminated feed into livestock and humans.

The feeding of rendered slaughterhouse waste to livestock, which spreads mad cow disease and created an epidemic in England, continues to be both legal and widespread in the United States. Dairy calves are literally weaned on cattle blood protein in calf milk formula, while government and industry feed the American public a dangerous diet of outright lies, false assurances and deceptive PR.
